Make Mosaic Abstract Art With Wire Mesh
Are you in a lookout for an easy way to make abstract art. Look no further you will be amazed of how little of a time it takes to make a plenty of them with this one trick of using wire mesh. I have been lately taking a lot of interest in tiles and patterns in general as you may have noted with the terrazzo tile tray that I made with clay and terrazzo tile inspired planter. I am ecstatic I could bring some history in with this mosaic inspired art that I wanted to share with you. This DIY is so easy to make that it is silly to even call it one. Anyhow, let’s see what we will need and how we make this abstract art.
Materials:
- Wire mesh
- Paint of your choice
- Foam brush
- Masking tape
- Cardstock
Steps:
Tape the ends of your card stock with the help of a masking tape or cut out a card stock paper to be placed on top of your work as we want the artwork centeredNext tape off your wire mesh on to your working table to help it keep stable and your lines straight.Begin by brushing off pastel pink over the wire mesh with the help of your wide foam brush. We are able to create the graduated look by brushing over the mesh once so that by the time you reach the end of the paper you are out of paint and thus the look.Dip your brush ends in deep crimson and pounce over the mesh where you want the paint saturated ( you may look at my paintings for a guide ). Don’t worry if the paint leeks out blurring the lines in fact we want that sophisticated effect to add character to our art. Pounce some violet with the same brush over the edges and on random.Immediately remove the wire mesh and let it dry.I told you by the time you took your last sip of your coffee you were done with painting. With the help of the wire mesh we were able to create this mosaic type effect that would have otherwise taken us ages to create had we to sit and do them boxes individually. The color leak makes this painting whole.
