#1: “Boo” Candy Jars
For these Boo jars, you’ll need:
- Three mason jars
- B-O-O letters
- Rafia or Twine
- E-6000 glue
- Toilet paper roll
- Money (optional)
- Candy
Step by step instructions:
Step 1: Glue the letters
Start by gluing the letters on the front of the jars. A little bit of this glue is all you need to ensure the letters adhere well. Allow the glue to dry for an hour before moving to the next step.
Step 2: add toilet paper tube
Insert a toilet paper roll into the middle of the jar. Carefully place the bits of candy around the toilet paper roll on the inside of the jar. Try to hold the roll still with you fingers as you insert the candy. When all the candy is inserted, place some cash money or fun small toy into the center of the roll.
Step 3: Add rafia
Tie the top with rafia for a final touch, and you’re done! It’s a great surprise to open the jar and find money or a fun toy inside!
#2: Halloween Candy Hands
For the candy hands you’ll need:
- Vinyl or Latex gloves
- Candy
- Rafia or Twine

Use longer candy, like Jolly Ranchers, lollipops, or Smarties to get into the finger inserts. Fill the gloves as much as needed and tie the end of the glove with twine or rafia. This not-so-scary Halloween candy gift is a great favor to give away at parties.
#3: Bat Candy Pouches
This one takes a little bit longer, but is nonetheless a fun, easy party favor idea. Create this bat, candy pouch out of toilet paper rolls- an easy recyclable gift.
For this DIY, you’ll need:
- Toilet paper rolls
- Black and white paint and paint brush
- Black felt
- Scissors
- White marker, pen or white eyeliner pen
- Craft glue
- Tape
- Candy
Paint the toilet paper roll black. Go over it with a white paint to create the eyes. You can use craft “googly” eyes for this step instead if you prefer. Let the paint dry for about 15 minutes or until it is dry to the touch.
Fold the felt in half. With the white pen, drawn bat wings at the folded section of the felt. Line the toilet paper roll up against it to ensure the wings are the right size. Cut out the wings while the felt is folded.
When you unfold the felt, you should have a perfectly crafted bat wing set.
Press the toilet paper roll down until it is flat. Fold the top of the toilet paper roll down to create the opening and tape shut.
Insert your candy or any fun toys the recipient would like. When all of the candy is inserted, fold the bottom of the toilet paper roll closed and tape shut.
Glue the center of the bat wings and attach the toilet paper roll section on top. Allow it to dry for an hour or so. Now you have a lovely, Halloween bat! Send this craft to school with your kids to give to their friends.
