DIY Crystal Quartz Planter
This project combines two awesome trendy pieces: CRYSTALS and AIR PLANTS! Air plants are super easy to take care of and crystals make this planter such a magical piece. It only takes a couple minutes to put together, and it makes a lovely little gift.
YOU WILL NEED:
- 1/2 cup of sand
- Round glass 3.5″
- Air plant
- 3-5 Crystal Quartz Rough
- 5″ wooden dowel
- Water color
- Marker
- Scissors
- Tape
- Watercolor Paper
STEP 1: Pour 1/2 cup of sand in the round glass. If you use different colors, carefully pour the sand and create different layers.
STEP 2: Take the crystals and pick which side you’d like to place them. Then gently push the end of the crystal into the sand. *** It looks more esthetically appealing if each stone is a different height.
STEP 3: Once you’ve arranged the crystals, place the air plant right next to the crystals.
STEP 4: Fold the watercolor paper in the middle, on the side folded, cut a 2 1/2″ x 3″ rectangle.
STEP 5: Take the watercolors and blend a couple colors together with the paintbrush. Once you got a beautiful blend of colors, let it dry for 10 minutes.
STEP 6: Write a message in the front, place tape the inside of the folded paper and attach it to the wooden dowel. Take the little flag and push it into the sand.
Thats it! Hope you enjoyed this project! Happy Crafting!!
