Easy Homemade Cilantro Hummus Recipe
There is a reason hummus has taken the world by storm. It is creamy, spreadable, dippable, packed with winning Mediterranean flavors, and good for you ingredients. It’s an all-around win.
Do you know what else it is? Easy to make at home. That’s right. No need to keep purchasing plastic tubs of this dreamy condiment at the grocery store. We can do it ourselves.
It is a pretty minimalist recipe. You need some garbanzo beans (canned or home cooked would both work), tahini, and flavorings of choice. I make mine in a high-speed blender, which gives it that store-bought impossibly smooth texture, but a food processor can also work here. Just be sure to scrape down the sides frequently.
For this rendition, I used cilantro and lime for some south of the border flair. The combination is a winner. And, this flavor-packed hummus requires only 5 simple pantry ingredients, a little salt, and a couple of tablespoons of water.
Impress your guests with homemade hummus at your next soiree! It won’t disappoint!
